Curriculum
The early years foundation stage (EYFS) sets the standards for the learning, development and care of your child from birth to 5 years old.
All early years providers must follow the EYFS, including childminders, preschools, nurseries and school reception classes.
The EYFS contains seven areas of learning which cover three prime areas, these are considered particularly important for stimulating children’s interest in learning, and in building relationships:
- Communication & Language
- Physical Education
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding the World
- Expressive Arts & Design
At Beehive daycare we understand that each child is an individual and they learn at their own rate. Children’s drive to learn is often powered by their own interests and fascinations. We use this knowledge to plan and deliver learning opportunities and experiences for all of our children. We will liaise consistently with parents and carers to ensure we are keeping up to date with your child’s ever-changing interests.
